The October Community Meeting was called to order by Ken Emerson, Board President, at 7:00 pm on October 10, 2019, at the Walnut Creek Clubhouse.ย  Board members in attendance were Joe Blount, Gary Droege, Ken Emerson, Scott Eiken, Halley Freeman and Howard Matteson. Jacqui Maiseroulle, Tyler Unsell, and Siobhann Williams were unable to attend.

Ken Emerson welcomed all guests. He thanked Joe Blount and the Boy Scouts for their work completed on the playground.

Swim Team President, Amy Moulder updated the Board on the 2019 season. The swimteam will meet with the pool committee in December to discuss the upcoming year.

The Board approved minutes for the September monthly Board Meeting.

Old Business:

Board Members approved a request from the Administration Committee for continuation of privilege suspensions for those violating restrictive covenants.

The Board approved that Boy Scout Troop #1433 may use the clubhouse when needed with no fee.

New Business:

The trash disposal contract will expire the end of this year.

The association assessment will remain the same for 2020.ย  This was unanimously supported by the Board.

The Board supported running a promotion that would help the Basic Membersย  upgrade their membership to full statusย  in a final attempt to unite our community in the use of facilities and privileges.

Board Members will discuss the 2020 Budget and the agenda for the November Annual Member Meeting in the upcoming Board work session.

Committee Reports

Administration:ย  The office has received the annual workerโ€™s comp audit.

Clubhouse:ย  Gary Droege informed the Board that the clubhouse windows, wood floor and gutters are in need of repairs or replacement.

Community Relations: Clean-up Day was successful with a few glitches in the dumpster arrival. Thanks to homeowners for your patience.

Grounds:ย  In preparation for cold weather the Porta potty will soon be removed, the water at the shelter turned off and all of the sprinklers winterized.
