UPDATE FROM WASTE MANAGEMENT:
“Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays are currently overloaded, causing significant overtime costs. By moving our Parkville Associations off of Monday and re-setting to Fridays we better balance the driver’s workweek and more importantly save on overtime. This means better management of charges to customers. Another benefit (more internal than external) is a more balanced week for the drivers. Many of them work 12-14 hour days early in the week.
No one likes change, and we get that. We make these changes rarely.”
By now, I hope you have received notice from Waste Management that they are changing our trash collection dates.ย As of next week (September 11th – 17th), trash collection will move from Monday to Friday.ย Since there will be 10 days without trash pickup, Waste Management has agreed to pick up extra bags that do not fit in your bin as a courtesy.ย Please place these bags next to your bin for collection.
