Hello Creeker families,
Registration for the 2024 summer season is now open on our website!
News for 2024! (Please read)
1. – T-shirts: To receive a team T-shirt, you must register by May 1, 2024.
2. – Checks: To pay by check, your check must be received by May 1, 2024. Mail checks early! Payments after May 1st must be made by credit card.
3. –USA Swimming Registration: Due to changes with USA Swimming, your registration will be a 2 part process (like last year):
1. Families will pay fees to WCST during registration on our website, AND
2. Families will register online and pay $50 per swimmer directly to USA Swimming this year, unless the swimmer is already registered with a year round USA Swimming team. (In the past, WCST collected this fee and paid it to USA Swimming).
We will send out a separate email after April 5th with a “WCST team link” to use to register with USA Swimming. Those swimmers registered with a year round team may need to send us a copy of their USA Swimming ID. Please be patient as all teams are struggling with this new process this year.
This year, swimmers will not be allowed in the water until both registrations are complete.
4. – Fees: WCST fees are the registration fee plus a $40 a family fundraising fee. The $50 USA Swimming fee goes directly to USA Swimming this year. Click here to see all 2024 Fees and discounts.
5. – Year Round Swimmers: If you have a year-round swimmer on a USA Swimming team (not a high school team), you will fill out one of two forms: —2024 Year Round USA Swimmer Registration – Non-Resident, or —2024 Year Round USA Swimmer Registration – Walnut Creek Resident
These forms have different fees because Walnut Creek residents already pay the Homes Association. The fees for Non-Residents are higher because they must pay the HOA fee.
Registration:
To register, go to our website, click on the blue “Register Now” button and log into your SwimTopia account.
Click on the Registration Form that applies to your family and follow the instructions.
Note: the SwimTopia registration system has trouble if your swimmers need to register using different Registration Forms and you are paying by credit card. If this happens, please contact the Board and we can refund you.
Please be careful to select the correct T-shirt size, especially for Adult or Youth size.
We pre-order these T-shirts and will not have extra sizes available.
A $20 late fee will be assessed for returning members who have not submitted their registration by May 15th, 2024, and they will not receive a team T-shirt as the deadline is May 1st.
Swimsuits: Our Team Store is open to order team swimsuits! (These suits are optional).
Walnut Creek spirit wear will be coming soon.
Practices:
A fun Team Night is planned for May 23rd at Main Event. So mark your calendars! More details to come!
The first evening practice is to be determined.
The first morning practice is planned for May 28th.
As always, these dates are weather dependent.
The practice schedule is being finalized. An email will be sent with the link in the next few weeks.
SwimTopia Mobile App:
We will send urgent communications alerts through the App (in addition to emails) – this will especially be used for last minute changes such as weather conditions once we start practices. In order to receive these alerts, you will need to download the SwimTopia App and allow push notifications on your phone.
Note: In order to receive communication alerts through the Swimtopia App, you may have to log in to your Swimtopia App again, if it has been a while since you used it.
